Welcome to the Homepage of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Nurses' Alumni Organization (NAO). The NAO represents all graduates of the UW-Madison School of Nursing, as well as current and emeritus faculty.
As Alumni we can use our collective skills and influence to shape nursing education and the provision of health care locally, regionally and globally.
NAO Alumni Weekend
The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing and the Nurses' Alumni Organization are pleased to welcome back School of Nursing alumni for reunion celebrations on May 9 and 10, 2008.
Friday, May 9, 2008. Fluno Center, 601 University Avenue, 6:00-8:00 p.m. The annual all-alumni reception is hosted by Dean Katharyn May and provides the weekend's first opportunity for alumni to reconnect with classmates, friends, and faculty and to meet the members of the Class of 2008.
Saturday, May 10, 2008. Fluno Center, 601 University Avenue, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The Alumni Day program, sponsored by the Nurses' Alumni Organization (NAO), will also be held at the Fluno Center. Following opening remarks by Dean Katharyn May and NAO President Susan Brown, clinical faculty member Beth Strauss will speak about the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and its future at the school from her perspective as a student currently enrolled in the DNP program at Case Western Reserve University. A buffet luncheon at the Fluno Center will conclude the morning events.
After lunch, there will be individual reunion events for the classes of 1958, 1983, 1998 and 2003. In addition, a special program has been organized for alumni who graduated prior to 1958.

Request for Funding — Special Projects.
The NAO is currently accepting applications from undergraduate and
graduate nursing students enrolled at the UW Madison to request
support for special individual projects or training. The focus of
the awards will be on service to the academic community, to Madison
or other communities, service to the profession, or professional
growth.
