Post-Doctoral Research

Prerequisites for Postdoctoral Trainees
Postdoctoral trainees who hold a doctorate in another discipline will be considered on an individual basis, with careful consideration given to their career goals and to their potential to develop into investigators who will make sustained contributions to knowledge development in nursing. Faculty will give careful consideration to matching postdoctoral fellows with faculty mentors with respect to areas of scientific interest and expertise.

Overall activities
The program of study also will be individualized for trainees, based upon their stated objectives for the training period, expertise, and desired set of new skills. Types of activities to be supported under this program will include formal coursework, independent study directed by a member of the core, particular experiences with collaborating with affiliate or support faculty, regular attendance at established, ongoing seminars and/or research work groups, and presentations at such seminars or work groups.
