DESCRIPTION OF RESEARCH FOCUS:

Description of Research Focus: I am interested in creating robust digital formalizations of nursing knowledge. I am creating a way to electronically represent family and family history that incorporates nursing conceptualization of family as a dynamic and self-defined social unit. In contrast, commonly used representations focus on the biological family alone. I will then explore differences in knowledge resulting from the use of this inclusive representation vs. representations based solely on the biological family.
