Description of Research Focus:

My  research is focused on understanding and improving physical and psychological well-being and quality of life in old age. I am begun testing  psychoeducational nursing interventions aimed at improving self care and symptom management in older women with chronic illnesses. I have also examined social-cognitive mechanisms related to successful coping and mental health in old age in both cross-sectional and longitudinal studies.
