Advancing the science of nursing through research and scholarship is a strategic priority of the School of Nursing. To this end, nursing faculty members are expert scholars, clinicians, and teachers. Many have postdoctoral experience in nursing and related disciplines. Many have competed successfully for prestigious federal and private research and training awards and are well known for their expertise in the university, local, national, and international communities.

Faculty members who teach in the clinical component are prepared in cutting-edge technology for education and practice; many are board-certified practitioners who maintain an active clinical practice in addition to their teaching roles.
