School of Nursing Research Committee

Graduate faculty recommend departmental research policy through the Research Committee. The membership of the Research Committee is three tenure track faculty members and one instructional academic staff member elected by the Departmental Council for three-year, staggered terms. At least two of the tenure track members must be tenured. The Associate Dean for Research, the Director of the Research Design and Statistics Unit, and the Administrative Program Manager for Nursing Research and Sponsored Programs serve as consultants. The functions of the Research Committee are to review research proposals and allocate School of Nursing monies for internal funding; and to advise the Associate Dean for Research regarding policies and procedures surrounding the school's research enterprise, the conduct of research, funding of research, and access to research resources (Nursing Research and Sponsored Programs Office and the Research Design and Statistics Unit).
