LIBRARY RESOURCES
The UW-Madison Library system is the 15th largest library system in the United States with over 6 million holding, nearly 50,000 journals (8,000 electronic) and over 300 databases. http://www.library.wisc.edu/
Ebling Library serves as the health sciences library of the UW-Madison campus and includes 305,000 books, 3,000 journal subscriptions, over 40 databases covering the health sciences, and rare books and special collections. Ebling Library is located at 750 Highland Ave., Madison, WI 53706. The central library phone number is 608-262-2020. Their Internet address is http://ebling.library.wisc.edu
Book retrieval is provided by MadCat, which allows for books at any location in the UW-Madison Library system to be delivered to a specified campus library for pick up (select Place Requests after locating each book). MadCat also allows for borrowing books from other UW campuses (use the UW System Search). http://madcat.library.wisc.edu
Document delivery is provided by Library Express. This service allows the user to request and obtain journal articles or book chapters held anywhere in the UW-Madison library system ($2 fee is charged) or from other institutions (inter-library loan).

The UW-Madison School of Nursing has on-staff a special librarian to assist faculty with library needs including the following: conducting literature searches for SoN faculty for research, teaching, and tenure, assisting faculty or students in developing database search strategies, providing group instruction in database search strategies in collaboration with Ebling Library staff, and acquiring audiovisual and print materials for teaching and research. The School of Nursing maintains a small faculty reading collection (K6/2 CSC) and an extensive multi-media collection in1263 Health Sciences Learning Center.
