To purchase a pin as a momento of your education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing, download the order form (PDF format) or pick-up an order form available in the Student Communication Room, K6/162. The completed form and your payment for the pin is mailed directly to Royal Recognition, Inc., PO Box 659, Muskego, WI, 53150. We will notify students when the pins have arrived.

Honor Stoles and Cords

Students designated as being in the top 20 percent of their class will be issued an honors stole when they pick-up their cap and gown. We encourage these students to wear their honors stole of cardinal panels at the School of Nursing program. Honors program graduates will be distinguished by a white stole with cardinal bars. All stoles are to be worn draped over the shoulders. Stoles are worn only with caps and gowns and may be obtained at the University Book Store. Students do not need to reserve honor stoles in advance. They can be picked up with their cap and gown the week of commencement. Also, students who have been inducted into membership in Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honor society, should wear their orchid and white honor cords over their academic robes. The cords are to be worn around the neck, with the tassels hanging symmetrically in front.

Class Photo

Group pictures of both undergraduate and graduate degree recipients will be taken at the completion of the May Convocation ceremony. Students should remain seated and follow photographer's instructions. Students will have an opportunity to order a group picture from Dell Brown Photography for a cost of about $8.00.

Invitation

We provide every graduating student with five(5) printed invitations to the School of Nursing graduation event. These are not tickets and the student and their guests are not asked to present them at the door of the event. Invitations will be sent to the student's mailing address.
